Globetrotters was the leading team member of the joint venture responsible for the management, operation, and maintenance of the 1.2 million SF International Terminal 5 at O’Hare Airport for 19 years. Globetrotters directed the performance of staff that included 9 managers, 15 building engineers, 51 custodians, and 4 building trades personnel who worked in concert to ensure that the millions of patrons that transit the terminal annually did so in a safe, clean, fully supported, and operational environment that was efficiently and effectively maintained at all times.
The management team was responsible for:
- Custodial services in compliance with all CDA Terminal 5 cleaning specifications.
- Maintenance and Engineering services Implementing comprehensive security measures.
- Overseeing the Safety Program and providing safety/loss control.
- Preparing administrative, operations, and financial reporting.
- Implementing sustainable initiatives.
- Assessing, repairing, and replacing capital equipment.
Globetrotters also provided design services for the electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems that were upgraded at Terminal 5. Globetrotters upgraded the electrical system to accommodate added loads on the circuits for a new security system, and provided architectural and engineering services for the renovation of all airline lounges.
