Owner’s Representative
As the Managing Partner in a joint venture, Globetrotters provided Owner’s Representative Services for the new 44,000 SF Chicago 10th District Police Station that was designed as a prototype District Police Station and received LEED certification.
As Owner’s Representative, Globetrotters worked closely with the Architect-of-Record (AOR) in receiving and processing documents throughout the project’s preliminary, design development and construction document phases. Globetrotters monitored and kept detailed records of project documentation for an ongoing QA/QC program.
Globetrotters participated in the permitting process and assisted the PBC in obtaining the Phase 2 Planned Development approval by the City of Chicago Department of Planning. Globetrotters managed the coordination with numerous project stakeholders including the PBC, AOR, Contractor, Police Department, several City of Chicago departments, ComEd, AT&T, SBC, and Peoples Energy.
In addition, Globetrotters assisted the PBC in preparing the solicitation, evaluating bids, and recommending a firm for contract award.
Globetrotters monitored the general contractor’s compliance with schedule and budget requirements, and conducted a final comprehensive inspection of the work to verify that the conditions of construction were in accordance with the contract documents.
